DESCRIPTION:Venue: Concert Hall Art Studio (across the hall from the muse
 um near the Concert Hall driveway)\nKintsugi Workshop\nKintsugi is the an
 cient Japanese technique of repairing ceramics with gold. In Japanese Zen
  aesthetics\, broken bowls and dishes should continue to attract our resp
 ect and attention.\nThe broken pieces are reassembled and glued back toge
 ther with a lacquer infused with gold powder. The breaks are not hidden\,
  but instead transformed into something artful. Kintsugi is also a powerf
 ul metaphor for life—we all experience difficulties and traumas\, and thi
 s practice encourages us to embrace\, rather than conceal\, our so-called
  cracks and imperfections.\nParticipants are welcome to bring in their ow
 n piece for review. While we may not have time to repair personal items d
 uring class\, Luis will provide insight and guidance for how to proceed a
 t home.\nIn this workshop you will:\n• Learn about the history and philos
 ophy of kintsugi\n• Repair two ceramic pieces to take home\n• Embellish y
